Appointments

Walk in appointments will be accommodated where possible. Please be aware that patients who arrive without an appointment may experience a delay, unless in the case of an emergency.

Referrals

Doctors at this practice routinely handle common health problems.

When necessary, they may seek a Specialist opinion.

You can discuss this with your Doctor, including any potential out of pocket expenses.

Results

Results are reviewed by the Doctors and acted upon in a timely manner, with your health in mind.

We will contact you if necessary but it is recommended that an appointment be made to discuss the results.

Interpreter Service

An interpreter can be arranged prior to your appointment.

Please notify reception if you require an interpreter at your consultation.

Telephone

To maintain confidentiality we avoid telephone interruptions to Doctors.

The Nurse may be able to help you or a message can be given to the Doctor and your call returned as soon as possible. Urgent enquiries will be put through.

Telephone consultations are available for eligible patients.

Recall and Reminder System

As our practice is committed to preventive care, we may send you an occasional reminder regarding health services appropriate to your care.

Billing

Banora Point Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice.

Please also indicate if you need a longer appointment with the doctor for a full check-up, pap smear, insurance medical, counselling, surgical procedures, Aviation medical certificate or Full Skin Examinations.

We accept Cash, EFTPOS and credit card (excluding American Express & Diners).

Fees

We offer bulk billing to children under 16 years of age, Concession card holders including pension card holders and Veteran’s Affairs card holders.

  • Level A consult: $55.00
    Medicare rebate: $19.60
    Out of pocket: $35.40

  • Level B consult: $80.00
    Medicare rebate: $42.85
    Out of pocket: $37.15

  • Level C consult: $115.00
    Medicare rebate: $82.90
    Out of pocket: $32.10

Your privacy record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain complete security of your personal health information at all times, and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized staff members. We abide by the National Privacy Principles. Please ask reception staff for a copy of our privacy policy.
